Daimler SP250 Restoration

Car # 102631

This is the story of car # 102631, a 1961 Daimler SP250. It was built on the 4th January 1961, and delivered to Lyons Motors in Singapore in July that year. It was subsequently imported into Australia in 1974, and dismantled for repairs (possibly due to an accident) sometime in 1975.

It remained in this state for over 40 years, until it was acquired by the current owner in September 2016. A lot has happened since then, and there is still some way to go. Follow its journey, from a dusty shed in Arcadia, in the far north of Sydney, to Kareela, in the southern suburbs of Sydney where it's slowly being brought back to its former glory.

The is similar to what 102631would have looked like when new, back in 1961. Optional extras included laminiated screen, heater demister, windscreen washer, rear bumper, and tonneau cover.
